Gardaland: The Amusement Park More Fun in Italy
In the Italian province of Verona, Castelnuovo del Garda in Italy, Gardaland is one of the most popular amusement parks in Europe. Located on the shores of Lake Garda, on the banks of the Alps and the name comes from this lake.
The park, which is in charge of Merlin Entertainments was inaugurated in July 1975 and since then has continued to grow both in size and visitors, currently receiving over three million a year.
Gardaland is divided into five themes: Fantasy Kingdom, Area Medioevale, Villaggio Inglese, Arabo Souk and Rio Bravo. The areas are referred to jousting, pirates of the sea, Egypt and its pharaohs and duels in the Old West.
Fantasy Kingdom has attractions such as Blue Tornado, an inverted rollercoaster, Magic Mountain, the oldest rollercoaster in the park (1985) and Fuga da Atlantide, a spectacular water coaster. In general, Gardaland has a total of six roller coasters and other attractions 56.
In Area Medioevale, attractions and Ikarus, TransGarland Express, Castello di Mago Merlino and Giostra Cavalli try to remember the Middle Ages, like magic, staves and tours medieval castles made to scale to the feeling of being immersed in this period.
Arabic Souk is dedicated to the golden age of Egypt. A route known as 4D Adventure takes us to the days of the great pharaohs. The treasure hunt and the awakening of Ramses are the most popular attractions in this area.
Villaggio Inglese has as subject the eighteenth century English pirates and its only attraction is just The Corsairs, who represent the assaults suffered by ships from the English ships. This is the biggest attraction of the park and is probably the most applauded, the level of spectacle presented to visitors.
Rio Bravo is the area dedicated to the legendary Wild West. The American Western and classical dueling between bandits and sheriffs are the subject of the amazing shows in the area.
Prezzemolo, Gardaland mascot, will be waiting with open arms to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who every year visit this magical place where fun is guaranteed for the whole family.
