Villa Gesell, Argentina

Villa Gesell, ArgentinaCarlos Gesell Villa Gesell founded in 1931, although it was declared a city just forty years later, in 1970. Gesell, as it is known by locals, is a very popular especially for young people, and is one of the most significant resorts along the Atlantic coast.

Its sandy beaches and forests of pines, acacias and eucalyptus are accompanied by a significant tourist infrastructure, which include hotels, campgrounds, restaurants, bars and a lively nightlife, marking it one of the characteristics of the area, being an attractive for young people looking for fun.

More than 10 miles of beaches visited, its commercial activity, especially focused on the pedestrian avenue 3 and 106, and its numerous nightclubs in contrast to the tranquility of residential neighborhoods and near-desert landscape that provide important dunes sizes ranging tourists on a quad.

In the above, we add an important cultural activity, which highlights the villa of Don Carlos, home of the Summer Choral Encounters since its declaration as a city in 1970, and since 1978 the Argentine Conference on Film and Video Independent. Among the major tourist circuits found the Mar de las Pampas, rustic resort, due to the density of its forests and its small resident population.
